Homeschoolers Of Wyoming (H.O.W.)
Here's a brief history on the HOW organization. There has been a Wyoming homeschooling organization in existence since 1984. In the early years it was called Wyoming Home Educators Network, (WHEN). During this time, Jack Murphy was instrumental along with others in getting a home education law on the books. Governor Ed Herschler signed the homeschool law on February 21, 1985, making it effective in May of that year. After 1987, the state organization became known as Homeschoolers Of Wyoming. In 1996 HOW was incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit organization. Many faithful and committed people have served the homeschooling community through the years. There have been state gatherings of homeschooling families since the middle 1980's, and Homeschoolers Of Wyoming has hosted the state convention since 2002.
