2008 Convention
The 2007 Homeschoolers Of Wyoming state convention was a wonderful weekend for Wyoming homeschool families. We thank all who attended and certainly those who volunteered during the weekend. We would like to welcome everyone back to the 2008 HOW Convention, May 16-17, at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas, WY. Those of you who have not yet attended the HOW Convention, please make plans now to experience a weekend of encouragement, inspiration, information and fellowship.
All the facilities at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds are Handicap Accessible.
Speakers for the weekend will be Israel Wayne and Skeet Savage.
Israel Wayne is a homeschooled graduate who currently
serves as the Marketing Director for Wisdom’s Gate. He
is a regular columnist for HOME SCHOOL DIGEST and the
author of the book Homeschooling from a Biblical Worldview.
Israel and his wife Brook are homeschooling their four young children in Michigan.
Skeet Savage is the Founder of Wisdom’s Gate, Editor of
HOME SCHOOL DIGEST, An Encouraging Word, and Brush Arbor Quarterly,
and author of the book, Homeschooling for Eternity.
Skeet began homeschooling in the 1970s and successfully
home educated six children against numerous odds. In
the face of court battles, social service visits, and the
threat of having children removed from the home for being “truant,”
she stood firm and helped to pave the way for the modern homeschool movement.
The HOW Convention is designed to equip all parents, home educating to educate their children
with excellence by bringing together a variety of speakers, workshops, curriculums and educational
materials for the entire family.
